Why We Need More Grand Tastings

I was fortunate enough to be invited to one of the biggest alcohol tasting events in the city, the third edition of the Grand Tasting, an annual property of Living Liquidz. It was practically on the other end of the city - Thane, but I chose to endure the pain of traveling all the way, because, bro, free alcohol. Duh! Being a part of it made me realise how important these tastings are and how badly we need them. I am gonna give you five logical reasons as to why we need more of these. Read on: It's a great way to market brands:Alcohol advertising is still not a thing, so the only way the brands can promote themselves is through these tastings. It's on-ground and a little more expensive than just advertising, but it's efficient. You get to know about new products:The alcohol industry is evolving dramatically and every brand is coming up with new products all the time. You get to taste and get a touch and feel of these new products. Who knows? One of these newly launched products could be your new favourite. Helps you have an opinionated choice:When you have tried several spirits by different brands, you get an understanding of what you like and what you don't. Since you get to interact with the experts from these respective brands, you also know what goes well with what liquor. Imagine sipping on a glass of vintage wine while listening to how it was made. That has to be a different experience. It's the perfect platform for alcohol aficionados: It's a great platform to interact with fellow liquor enthusiasts: Every single soul who entered this tasting had one thing in common. Unconditional love for alcohol. I had the opportunity to share my drinks with some interesting people who had incredible takes on drinking.  It's not every day that you bump into someone who has travelled all over Italy and visited almost all of their wineries. The next Grand Tasting will take over Palladium Mumbai, on 13th and 14th of January. Be there for a unique experience.
