Recently, unsobered went out for a bar crawl in the city, and we visited some bars that we think are the most memorable and impressive for their cocktail menus, snacks, and, most importantly, ambiance and vibes. Each place we visited had something unique to offer us. So, the next time you’re out on a bar crawl, make sure you visit at least one (or all) of them. From Park Street institutions to newer, more iconic establishments, here are four bars in Kolkata that you absolutely must visit on your next night out in Kolkata.

Conversation Room is a chill, atmospheric bar that is perfect for conversations, delicious cocktails, and tasty bites. The interiors are inspired by the European aesthetic, and the music on the speakers is not too loud. All of this makes Conversation Room a great place to hang out and have long yap sessions with your friends. If you do visit this bar, make sure you try their Ros Omelette with Poee, Fried Chicken with Dips, and classic grilled cheese with Sichuan hot honey. From their remarkable cocktail program, try their Iced Chai Colada, Picanterita, and OJ, Bloody OJ.

A tiny bar housed in the Southern part of Kolkata, Nutcase Etc is a cozy, comfortable cocktail parlour with a cocktail program that has been recognized by 30 Best Bars India. This is a perfect date night spot as you get to relax and yap for as long as you want. When you go through their cocktail menu, you’ll realize how creative they are in naming their cocktails. When you finally try them, you’ll realize that the creativity is not limited to naming them. For sure-shot hits, try their Sushi Cocktail or Pen Pineapple Apple Pen. Pair them with their Pork Belly Open Bao or Oh My.

One of the most popular institutions on Park Street Road, Peter Cat is known for its iconic Chelo Kabab. Undoubtedly, these Chelo Kebabs are rich, juicy, and flavorful, but focusing only on them would be a disservice to all the other offerings of the bar. For instance, they have banger cocktails like Peter Cat Cooler, Gallina Viuda, and Wedding Night. To go with these drinks, try their menu items like Fish Meuniere, Fish Makhmali Kabab, and Prawn Butter Masala.

This particular bar is for when you’re craving a taste of the finer things in life. It is an elevated bar with a sophisticated menu and bar offerings. Their food varies from steak and sushi to Kebabs and salads, so no matter what you like, you’ll find something to your liking. We’re a particular fan of their Pork wontons, steak and sushi, and Yasai Yaki Udon. For drinks, we would highly recommend their Are You In Cal and Friday, 7 PM?.
