Fine spirits, world-class bars, innovative cocktails, and a jaw-dropping home bar collection, sound pretty amazing, right? Let us brag a little more because we got a chance to experience it all! Where, you ask? Well, it happened at The Vault Home Bar Festival which was held on the 25th and 26th of February 2023 at Mumbai’s Jio Gardens. There were intriguing sections targeting different areas and here’s how it all went down:
Taste
The mere display of 100+ spirits brands at this festival was our love-at-first-sight moment. To top that, the festival also featured 20+ master distillers who were open for conversations. We got plenty of fun insights from the experts and met some of the coolest people. Our team experimented with different Indian craft spirits like gin, rum, whiskey, and coffee liqueur. We even tried other premium cognacs, tequilas, and our favorite, the Japanese shochu!
Discover
The interesting variety of whiskies and rums and a special salon dedicated to them tempted us all into trying some. There were 6 whiskies and rums which were never seen in India. But what drew all of our attention was the talk of this festival – the unveiling of Amrut’s single malt whiskey. There’s absolutely no way we’d exit the festival without a sip of the Amrut Festival Edition. How was it, you ask? Just one word to describe it – bliss!
Listen
The Listen section tickled our gray cells with several panel discussions and talks regarding food, beverage, and India’s drinking culture. The chats regarding why there’s an addition for chakna and the science behind it was indeed fascinating!
Indulge
There was no chance of missing the Indulge section where the inaugural toast took place. The one-of-a-kind cocktails created by 3 of the world’s best bars – PARADISO BAR (Spain), Lost + Found Drinkery (Cyprus), and LE CLUB (Japan) were simply astounding! We certainly lost track of time while indulging in these different cocktails here but hey, thank god for our sober friends, right?
Home Bar Displays
It was like a Pinterest exhibition of exclusive bar equipment right in front of our eyes! The festival was in collaboration with TATA CLiQ Luxury where some of the upcoming barware were displayed. Luckily for us, not only we got to witness the stunning collection, but we also got a chance to preorder the displays we liked here.
Summing Up
All in all, this boozy experience was full of fine tastings, great insights, and lots of entertainment. We’re already excited about any other upcoming events that celebrate alcohol and drinking. Till then, Hasta la vista!
