Carlsberg Reports Rising Sales In The First Quarter

Danish multinational brewer Carlsberg reported higher first-quarter revenue, with revenue reaching 20.7 billion Danish kroner or £2.4 billion. As one of the world’s most prominent brewing companies, Carlsberg has seen a rise in sales, potentially signaling that alcohol-free drinks are gaining traction. Here’s what we know about Carlsberg’s spectacular sales in the ‘First Quarter’ and what it could mean for consumers.

Danish Carlsberg Reports ‘Good’ First Quarter Sales

Carlsberg on April 28, 2026, reported higher first-quarter revenue as the volume of beverages grew in all of the Danish brewer’s regions. The Danish company reported reaching about £2.4 billion in the first quarter of the year. This is about three percent higher compared to a year earlier.

The globally-renowned company releases profit only every other quarter, as permitted by the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

CEO Jacob Aarup-Andersen quoted in a statement: “We delivered a good start to 2026 with organic volume and revenue growth in all three regions, strong results for our strategic category growth drivers - premium beer, soft drinks, and alcohol-free brews”.

Carlsberg said that the volume of beverages sold also grew 5.3% overall. It also recorded that the rise in the volume of beverages was helped mainly by soft drinks, which grew to about 10%.
