What We Tried At Sidecar
Kaapi Time stood out for its rich coffee-forward profile, while Cilantro showcased how fresh herbs can completely transform a cocktail. Emiriti and Tuk Tuk highlighted Sidecar's willingness to experiment with unexpected flavor combinations, while Enchante brought together presentation, balance, and technique in a way that felt distinctly Sidecar. The food followed suit, with the Jackfruit Tacos, Broccoli & Corn Dimsums, and Chicken Bok Choy Dimsums complementing the drinks perfectly and naturally.
If Sidecar is refined and technique-driven, No Vacancy brings an entirely different kind of energy. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels playful, vibrant, and designed to keep the evening moving.
Drinks like Shark Attack, Wild Escape, Route 48, and Negroni Del Caribe lean into bold flavors and inventive combinations, while others such as Bournvita draw inspiration from familiar childhood memories. There is a sense of fun running through the entire experience, but the creativity never comes at the expense of quality.
While the atmosphere feels energetic and playful, the cocktails reflect that same spirit.
What We Tried At No Vacancy
Wild Escape combined Bushmills Irish Whiskey with mushrooms, pomegranate, vanilla, and bitters, while Route 48 blended tequila with cucumber, mango, bell pepper, jalapeños, and fenugreek for a surprisingly balanced drink. Bournvita leaned into nostalgia, Truffle Concierge mixed pineapple, mango, truffle, butter, citrus, dry riesling, and Japanese whisky, and Negroni Del Caribe offered a creative spin on a classic.
If you appreciate technique, ingredient-focused cocktails, and a deeper dive into the craft of bartending, Sidecar remains one of the strongest experiences in the country. No Vacancy, meanwhile, thrives on energy, creativity, and personality. Its cocktails feel playful without losing their complexity, and the atmosphere encourages guests to relax and enjoy the experience without taking things too seriously.
