The Speyside distillery of Glenfiddich announced an exclusive partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One team in November 2024. This collaboration between Glenfiddich, one of the world’s leading liquor manufacturers and an automobile giant marked a new era in the world of leisure sporting and alcoholic beverages.

In 2024, the brand also unveiled a 65-year-old single malt at the luxury department store chain, Harrods. Now in 2025, it has announced the launch of not just the 16-year-old limited edition single malt but also a 19-year-old expression – both in collaboration with the Aston Martin Formula One Team.

How The Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old Stands Out

The Glenfiddich 16-year-old has been crafted from a carefully curated marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks. The blending process is meticulously planned and executed, resulting in a yield that is rich in character and has distinct notes.

This single malt whisky offers a rich and complex flavor profile. It has notes of caramel, maple syrup, caramelized ginger, fresh fruit, as well as Chantilly cream. It opens with a rich and layered sweet nose, revealing layers of biscuit-y cheesecake base and subtle oak along with caramelized ginger and maple syrup. 

The whisky is decadent with a silky smooth palate that builds up to a finish that is just as smooth and bold. Glenfiddich describes this experience as all about “offering a quality that eludes precise measurement, much like the intuitive connection between a driver and their car.”

With an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 43%, the whisky is bold, courageous, and luxurious in each sip. It will retail for about USD 75 (INR 6559) globally, and its retail prices in India will be worth noting.
