

One of India’s fastest-growing beer brands, Medusa Beverages, is set to make its entry into the Karnataka market. As one of the most significant moves to expand into South India, Medusa Beverages will introduce its widely loved range of beers into Karnataka. The brand is targeting to expand its presence to over 1000 outlets in Karnataka. Let’s take a look at the much-anticipated expansion of Medusa Beverages into Karnataka.
Medusa Beverages is set to mark its expansion in South India. For the first leg of its expansion into the South, the brand is entering the state of Karnataka. The launch will introduce its bestsellers like Medusa Premium Beer, Medusa Air, and Medusa X House of the Dragon across Karnataka.

During the launch phase in Karnataka, Medusa Beverages will begin operations in Bengaluru as part of a phased expansion strategy across Karnataka. It will target a presence across 1000+ outlets with a focus on Hotel, Restaurant, and Café/Catering (HORECA) locations and licensed liquor outlets.
Medusa Beverages will begin its Karnataka rollout with Bengaluru as the primary focus, followed by Mysuru. It aims to have a broader statewide expansion planned for a later phase.

Medusa’s expansion into Karnataka is not just a strategic move into the regional Karnataka market but a part of the brand’s national growth plan. As it continues to expand across key beer-consuming markets in India. Medusa’s portfolio is positioned alongside key premium players in the market.
The beer brand will begin its expansion with Karnataka and then Mysuru, with a focus on building long-term presence through regional brewing partnerships.
“Karnataka is a very capital-intensive market. We have tied up with a brewery in Mysuru for local production. The bigger investments go into inventory management, excise duties and marketing. Shelf space and listing fees are significantly higher compared to North India”, Avneet Singh, founder and CEO of Medusa Beverages.

Currently, Medusa Beverages is present across 12 states, selling between 1.5 lakh and 2 lakh beer cases every month. In FY2026, the company sold 13.5 lakh cases compared to 9.5 lakh cases in the previous year. The company had originally targeted INR 225 crore in revenue for FY2026, it closed the year at INR 165 crore.
While it is eyeing to expand into South India, the brand’s strongest market continues to be in Delhi. The Delhi market continues to contribute nearly 40% of its overall revenue.
As per Singh, the brand holds “close to 10% of the total beer market”. Close to Delhi, Chhattisgarh contributes 7% to 8% market share, while Uttarakhand stands at about 4.5%
