Known as one of the world's leading specialist retailers for whiskies and fine spirits, The Whisky Exchange has launched The Zodiac Series. It is a new line of 12 single cask Scotch whiskies that are all inspired by the twelve astrological signs. Each single malt Scotch whisky has been chosen for its quality and its resemblance to a particular star sign.
It has currently launched the first four expressions, grabbing the attention of all Astrology and Horoscope fans. Here’s everything you must know about this new launch in the market!
Under its Zodiac series, the Whisky Exchange is all set to launch three collectible sets. Each of these sets will have four zodiac signs, which are decided on the basis of the category they fall into, that is, air, water, fire, and earth signs.
They have already launched their first set from the series, which includes single-cask Scotch whiskies for Pieces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini star signs.
The range consists of :
Glenglassaugh’s 10-year-old Single Malt For Pisces (19 February to 20 March)
12-year-old peated Staoisha Bunnahabhain For Aries (21 March to 19 April)
Five-year-old Speyside Single Malt from Dailuaine For Taurus (20 April To 20 May)
16-year-old Single Malt from Ardmore Distillery For Gemini (21 May To 20 June)
Each spirit has been chosen by matching the traits of each zodiac sign with the qualities of the spirit.
Pisces: Glenglassaugh’s 10-year-old Single Malt
Pisces, as a zodiac, is associated with intuition and creativity, and maritime-tinged whisky from Glenglassaugh is the perfect one to match that quality. It features sea spray notes, fresh and dried fruits, and gentle spice.
Aries: 12-year-old peated Staoisha Bunnahabhain
Aries is known for its energy and boldness, and this is mirrored well by 12-year-old peated Staoisha Bunnahabhain. This Islay whisky offers punchy flavors with grass and caramel.
Taurus: Five-year-old Speyside Single Malt from Dailuaine
Taurus has traits like reliability and depth, which align with the taste profile of Speyside Single Malt from Dailuaine. It offers richness with toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla, and orchard fruit.
