Baner has become one of those parts of Pune where you really don't need a plan for a night out. You can finish work, message a few friends, head towards Balewadi High Street and somehow end up spending the whole evening there. If someone says Baner and craft beer in the same sentence, 24K Kraft Brewzz is one of the obvious names. The Balewadi High Street outlet sits on the 10th floor, so you get that rooftop feel along with the brewery setup.
There are several beers brewed in-house, including Belgian Witbier, Munich Helles, Rice Lager and German Dunkelweizen, plus cocktails and a fairly large food menu. The open-air seating is particularly nice once the evening starts getting cooler.

Elephant & Co. has become a familiar name across Pune, and the Baner outlet is a fairly easy pick for a casual night. It's more relaxed than some of the louder party spots around Balewadi High Street, so you can actually spend time talking, eating and drinking.

What I like about Baner is that you don't have to overthink a night out here. If I wanted craft beer, I'd probably start at 24K or Dorf. For cocktails and a more proper night-out feeling, Talli or Filament would be my picks. And if the plan is simply to meet friends, eat something and have a few drinks without making the evening into a whole production, Elephant & Co. works.
Also, don't underestimate Balewadi High Street. Once you're there, moving from one place to another is much easier than planning a cross-city bar crawl. The only real problem is deciding when you're actually going home.
