7 Best Breweries In Pune For Friday Night: Prices, Music & Vibe

While everyone seems to head to Mumbai for big nights out, Pune has quietly built one of India's strongest craft-beer scenes. The city has become home to a large number of breweries, brewpubs and taprooms, with different parts of the city offering their own take on the Friday-night brewery experience. From Kalyani Nagar and Koregaon Park to Baner, Balewadi and Mundhwa, there is no shortage of places to grab a freshly brewed pint. We have put together seven breweries worth considering for a Friday night in Pune.

1. 24K Kraft Brewzz, Balewadi

If Friday night means beer, food and a proper view, 24K Kraft Brewzz in Balewadi is a strong bet. The brewery sits high above Balewadi High Street, so the setting is a big part of the experience. The menu covers several house brews alongside Indian, Asian and continental food. It tends to work well for groups because there is enough space to settle in rather than feeling packed into a tiny brewpub. The late closing time also helps if dinner slowly turns into drinks.

2. Nincasa, Mundhwa

Nincasa is one of the newer names that has made a quick impression in Pune's brewery circuit. Located around Amanora Park Town in Mundhwa, the brewery has a contemporary setting and focuses on house beers alongside a broad food menu. It is a good option if your group is coming from the eastern side of Pune and you do not want to cross the city just to find a decent brewpub. Friday evenings can get busy, so arriving earlier is not a bad idea.

3. Dorf Brewhouse, Baner

Dorf Brewhouse is another one for people who take their beer seriously but still want a lively Friday night. The brewery is located on the Baner-Pashan Link Road and has the sort of spacious, modern setup that suits groups and after-work plans. The beer is obviously the main attraction, but the food and bar menu mean you can easily make an evening of it. It also stays open until 1:30 AM, which is useful when a quick Friday drink becomes considerably less quick.

4. Toit Pune, Kalyani Nagar

There is a reason Toit continues to be one of the first names people mention when talking about Pune breweries. The Kalyani Nagar brewpub has been around for years and still pulls in crowds, including people visiting Pune specifically for its beer. The beer list is one of its biggest draws, but the atmosphere is just as important. It gets lively, particularly later in the evening, so this is not necessarily the place for a quiet pint. If you want the classic Pune brewery night, though, Toit remains hard to ignore.

5. Oi Brewhouse, Kalyani Nagar

Oi Brewhouse is another Kalyani Nagar option, but it has a slightly more casual restaurant-bar feel compared with the bigger names. The brewery serves house beers alongside a sizeable food menu, making it particularly useful for groups where not everyone is equally obsessed with craft beer. The place stays open until 1 AM, so it works well for a Friday evening that starts with dinner and gradually becomes drinks. If you are already around Kalyani Nagar, it is worth having on the list.

6. Independence Brewing Company, Kalyani Nagar

Independence Brewing Company has been a major part of Pune's craft-beer story, and its Kalyani Nagar outlet remains popular. The brewery has a more relaxed atmosphere than some of Pune's louder Friday-night spots, which can actually be a plus if you want to sit down and talk over your beer. Its house brews change with the season, and the food menu gives you plenty to pair them with.
Approx. price: INR 2,300-2,600 for two
Timings: 12 PM-12:30 AM

7. Babylon Craft Brewery, Erandwane

Babylon brings something slightly different to this list. Located in Erandwane, the brewery has a rooftop setting and is a good pick when the ambience matters almost as much as the beer. The space works particularly well for groups, while the menu combines craft beer with a broad selection of food. It is also open until 11:30 PM, so it is better suited to an early or mid-evening Friday plan rather than an extremely late night.
Approx. price: INR 1,600 for two
Timings: 11 AM-11:30 PM
Address: 6th Floor, House Of Nosh, CTS 1365, Gulawani Maharaj Road, Swaroop Society, Vakil Nagar, Erandwane, Pune 411004 Babylon Craft Brewery

Summing Up

Pune's brewery scene has gone well beyond being a novelty for beer drinkers. One thing is certain: Pune is no longer the city you visit only after Mumbai. For craft beer, it has become a destination in its own right.

Author's Note

For a big Friday night, Toit and 24K Kraft Brewzz are among the safer choices. Dorf and Nincasa are worth considering if you want newer names with strong current ratings, while IBC works better for a relaxed evening. And if the setting is as important as the beer, Babylon brings the rooftop factor.
