If we're being honest, our first thought was, "Is this the dingiest bar we've ever visited?" A couple of hours later, we had our answer. Maybe it is, but that's exactly what makes it memorable. Somewhere between the nostalgic playlists, quirky interiors, and the electric atmosphere, 7 Hills turns into one of those places you know you'll end up visiting again.
There's something wonderfully chaotic about 7 Hills. It doesn't try to impress you with polished interiors or fancy lighting. Instead, it leans into its personality, and somehow, it works. The place almost felt like a bar from a dystopian future where everything has evolved in its own strange way. Nothing feels overly designed, yet every corner has character. The beer artwork spanning the walls and ceiling immediately catches your attention, adding to the old-school charm that makes the venue feel unlike any other modern cocktail bar in Mumbai.

Before the first drink even arrived, the playlist had already won us over. Classic songs played one after another, filling the room, instantly changing the mood of the evening. Whether you grew up during that decade or appreciate timeless music, it's impossible not to enjoy the nostalgia. Instead of chasing the latest chartbusters, 7 Hills embraces classics that almost everyone in the room knows by heart, making the atmosphere feel even more lively.
One thing 7 Hills definitely didn’t lack in variety was the liquor selection, which is extensive, making it easy for groups with different preferences to find something they enjoy. Whether you're in the mood for whisky, beer, vodka, rum, or cocktails, the menu offers enough choices to keep everyone happy without feeling overwhelming.
We decided to try something new instead of sticking with our usual order and went for Smirnoff Minty Jamun, one of the newer flavored vodkas currently available in the market.
It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The sweetness of jamun comes through immediately, followed by a refreshing mint finish that keeps the drink light and easy to sip. It's different enough to stand out without trying too hard, and if you're someone who enjoys experimenting with flavored spirits, this one is worth adding to your list.

Sometimes the timing of your visit completely transforms a bar experience, and that's exactly what happened here. We happened to visit during the India vs Pakistan cricket match, and the atmosphere inside was incredible.
Every boundary, every wicket, and every close call had the entire bar reacting together. Strangers were cheering, celebrating, and discussing every over as though they had known each other for years. The energy was infectious, and it reminded us why watching a big cricket match in a packed bar is an experience that's difficult to recreate anywhere else.

Some bars impress you because they're luxurious. Others stand out because of signature cocktails or gourmet food. 7 Hills manages to leave an impression without relying on any of those things.

By the end of the evening, one thing became clear, which was that this wasn't going to be our only visit. Some places simply have that effect on you, and 7 Hills is definitely one of them.
