Navi Mumbai’s bar scene has grown rapidly over the years, but some places still carry the kind of legacy that newer venues simply cannot recreate. For our very first bar experience in Navi Mumbai, we decided to visit one of the area’s most iconic names: Pritvish Bar Resto Bar in Nerul.
Operating since 1989, Pritvish originally built its reputation as a classic quarter bar before eventually evolving into a more modern cafe-lounge-style space. Even after the transformation, the place still carries that old-school neighborhood-bar energy that regulars clearly connect with.

What stood out almost immediately was how strongly the place now caters to a younger crowd. Most of the customers were college students, young professionals, and large friend groups enjoying cocktails and bar food. Older regulars were noticeably rare inside the main lounge area, showing how much the bar has repositioned itself over the years.
The interiors are fairly simple, rather than overly polished or premium, and honestly, that works in its favor. The atmosphere feels lively, approachable, and comfortably chaotic once the evening crowd starts pouring in. After 8 PM, the place gets heavily packed, but that crowded energy becomes part of the overall charm.

The first drink was a classic Sex on the Beach, which turned out surprisingly well-balanced without being overly sweet or watered down. Clean presentation, smooth flavor, and honestly, a solid cocktail for a place known more for its bar culture than mixology. The second drink we tried was a Watermelon Mojito for our resident cameraman, which felt refreshing and camera-friendly without trying too hard to be fancy.
For food, we ordered Chicken Dragon and Franky Samosa, and the Franky Samosa genuinely ended up becoming one of the highlights of the evening. Crisp, flavorful, and exactly the kind of bar snack that works perfectly with drinks.

One of the most interesting moments of the visit was spotting Moskovskaya Pink Vodka on the menu. It’s one of those legendary Russian vodka brands that has existed for more than a century, and you can genuinely feel that old-school vodka character in the taste profile. Finding something like that in a Navi Mumbai neighborhood bar honestly felt unexpected and added a slightly nostalgic alco-bev enthusiast angle to the overall experience.
Although the bar now leans heavily towards younger crowds and a cafe-lounge style setup, Pritvish still holds onto parts of its original identity through its food menu. Besides the cocktails and starters, the menu still includes comfort-style dishes like steamed rice, dal, and aloo paratha. That combination makes the place feel less like a trendy nightlife spot and more like a proper all-day neighborhood hangout where people can casually stop by for both meals and drinks. That balance between old-school familiarity and newer lounge culture is probably what keeps the place relevant even after decades.

Pritvish Bar Resto Bar works because it didn’t try too hard to follow the bandwagon surrounding bar culture. The place still carries traces of its old quarter-bar legacy while adapting itself for a younger Navi Mumbai crowd through cocktails, cafe-style energy, and casual comfort food. For a first Navi Mumbai bar experience, it honestly felt like the perfect place to start. It was loud, crowded, nostalgic, and full of character.
