Alcobrew Distilleries has entered the luxury segment with the launch of Gamber Valley Indian Single Malt Whisky. The range is built around Himalayan provenance and distilled, matured, and bottled entirely at the company’s facility at Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

The distillery operates with complete control over distillation, maturation, and bottling. This allows it to maintain consistency across the production process. The facility has been developed to participate in the narrative of the rising Indian single malt industry.
The launch also reflects broader changes in India’s whisky landscape. As the consumer base expands and more younger and globally exposed consumers explore premium Indian labels, more and more brands are offering premium expressions.

Commenting on the ever-evolving Indian single malt industry, Ashutosh Rajput commented, “Indian single malts crossed 53% of total single malt volume in 2024 – that shift didn't happen by accident, and it isn't slowing down. The consumer driving this market is younger, better-travelled, and far less deferential to legacy labels than the generation before them.
We are entering at a moment when the category is still being defined, which means the brands that build credibility now will own the narrative for the next decade. Our phased rollout is deliberate – we are building depth in each market before we move to the next, because this is a brand built to last, not to spike.”
