Godawan: A Brand Rooted In The Revival Of The Great Indian Bustard

At the center of a milestone celebrating 125 global wins is the Godawan 173. This single malt is the brand’s most ambitious expression, serving as a collector’s edition that is not merely a whisky but a tribute to the revival of the critically acclaimed ‘Godawan’ bird.

When the Godawan journey first began, fewer than 100 of these birds remained in the wild. Today, the number of these birds has increased to a great extent, proving that sustainability efforts with the right intention can actually save vulnerable life on Earth.

Godawan 173 is crafted from a rare liquid matured over more than nine years across ex-bourbon American oak, European Oloroso, and PX Sherry casks. It is finished in heritage Asha liqueur casks seasoned with 42 ingredients.

Bottled in a handcrafted Jaipur Blue Pottery bottle created by master artisan Leela Bordia, Godawan 173 has emerged as one of the most celebrated single malts.

Godawan Flagship Expressions 

Godawan 01 Rich & Rounded and Godawan 02 Fruit & Spice are the two flagship expressions by Godawan Artisanal Single Malt. These malts have been crafted using locally sourced six-row barley and finished with carefully selected Indian botanicals. The two expressions showcase different interpretations of Rajasthan’s terroir.

Godawan 01 stands out for its richer, smoother profile layered with caramel, roasted nuts, and spice. On the other hand, Godown 02 stands out for its brighter, fruit-forward character with notes of dried fruits and warming spice.
