Diageo India’s award-winning artisanal single malt, Godawan, has officially expanded the reach of its exclusive travel retail variant, Godawan Triple Cask, to the duty-free sections of Mumbai and Delhi.
This strategic move follows a successful international debut and strengthens the brand's presence across major domestic and international travel hubs.
Originally launched in 2022, Godawan has rapidly ascended as one of India's most celebrated single malts, amassing over 100 international awards. The Triple Cask expression, specifically crafted for the travel retail market, was previously available at Dubai and Bangalore Duty-Free.
With this latest expansion, the expression is now accessible to a wider audience of global travelers in India’s two busiest aviation hubs.
Vikram Damodaran, Chief Innovation Officer at Diageo India, noted that these channels allow the brand to engage with consumers during moments of discovery and gifting, positioning Indian whisky as a "definitive voice of craftsmanship" in connected global spaces.
Crafted at the Alwar distillery in Rajasthan, the Triple Cask Travel Exclusive is a tribute to the region's heritage. Its design and character draw inspiration from jaali woodwork, a traditional symbol of Rajasthani finesse.

Godawan is built on the pillars of craftsmanship, mindful luxury, and conscious consumption. The brand is named after the Great Indian Bustard (Godawan), a critically endangered bird. In a commitment to sustainability, every bottle sold contributes to the preservation of the bird's habitat in Rajasthan.
This dedication to quality was recently reaffirmed at the International Taste Institute’s Superior Taste Awards 2026, where several Godawan expressions – including the Godawan 01, 02, and the recently launched Limited-Edition 173 – received the prestigious Triple Gold distinction.
