The premium 100% agave tequila brand, Loca Loka, has made a significant entry into the Bengaluru market. Co-founded by actor Rana Daggubati, composer Anirudh Ravichander, and entrepreneur Sree Harsha Vadlamudi, Loca Loka had a successful launch in Delhi and Mumbai last year. Loca Loka Tequila Debuts In Bengaluru

Loca Loka tequila is making its debut in Bengaluru, aiming to tap into the city's vibrant cocktail culture and the high spending on premium food and beverage experiences. This launch will utilize the city's extensive on-trade ecosystem, which includes premium bars, restaurants, hotels, and retail outlets.

As part of the rollout, Loca Loka will host curated tastings, trade activations, and collaborate with bartenders. The goal is to shift the perception of tequila from being associated primarily with shots to being appreciated for sipping and its role in mixology.

The brand has already experienced sold-out batches in India due to strong repeat demand and high product quality. Its rollout strategy for India includes distribution in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and various airport duty-free stores. Additionally, Loca Loka plans to establish B2B partnerships in premium venues and conduct city activations throughout the 2026 calendar year.

A Calculated Growth Approach

Loca Loka is distilled in Mexico’s Jalisco, under third-generation master distiller Willy Bañuelos Ramírez. It positions itself as a founder-led venture that emphasizes the quality of its craft over celebrity endorsement. 

The variants Blanco and Reposado have actually earned global accolades at various competitions. This includes the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2025 and the New York International Spirits Competition. Bengaluru's selection as the next key market reflects Loca Loka's calculated growth approach.

The Six-City Sprint Strategy

The brand is using a "six-city sprint" that allows it to focus on its presence in major Indian cities throughout 2026. This calculated approach prioritizes Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and two additional major metros, likely Chennai and Pune. Here, the demand for premium spirits is increasing due to nightlife, high disposable incomes, and a growing cocktail market. 

Talking about its international launches, this brand was initially launched internationally across the US, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia in 2024. The other two countries that are underway for debut are the UK and the UAE.
