When it comes to the aesthetics and interiors of the place, The Powder Room knocks it out of the park. Each and every element of the interior is inspired by Africa. The walls are adorned with Boho-Afro art pieces, the music emanating from the speakers is Afro-jazz, and they even have drinking rituals and games inspired by Africa!

The ambiance of this 45-seater establishment is quite luxurious while also being laid-back. We think that it would be quite a romantic spot for a date or for catching up with a group of friends after a long time. However, whenever you do decide to pay this place a visit, call ahead and book a table. Owing to the limited space, it is likely that you won’t be able to get a table otherwise.

How Are The Drinks Of The Powder Room?

While the vibe was very impressive, we were there for the main stuff, i.e., food and drinks. Given that this was the first-of-its-kind MediterrAsian food, we were quite excited to try the menu. But we were even more excited about the cocktails.

unsobered found out that each cocktail on their menu was inspired by a different country. So, we tried a total of four cocktails, each better than the last. Here is our in-depth review:

Coiba: This particular cocktail was inspired by Mera Bharat Mahaan. It was a whisky-based cocktail that had been infused with Peanut Butter! Additionally, the glass had a frozen chocolate rim, and the cocktail was garnished with white chocolate. If you’ve ever wished for a boozy, liquid form of Snickers, this might just be it.

We give it a 9/10!

Forbidden Grove: A drink inspired by China, its base was gin, and it had strong notes of orange and passion fruit. What elevated the drink further was the pickled cherry tomato that added a nice, tarte-umami kick.

It was an 8/10 drink for us!

Burnt Old-Fashioned: This particular drink was inspired by France, and it had notes of burnt butter as well as truffle. It was nice and smoky, and was served with little cubes of cheese.

Another 8/10 from us!

Rosa Del Mare: Rosa Del Mare intrigued us quite a bit, both visually and taste-wise. This drink is not just inspired by China, but it is also inspired by the fairy tale Beauty And The Beast! This mezcal-based beverage was served with ice that had a frozen rose in it! In the glass, it almost gave the illusion of the rose being dispensed in the air! The drink was surprisingly not smoky, which made it perfect for those who are not a fan of the flavor of alcohol.

It was an easy 9/10 for us!
