Mumbai is filled with all kinds of bars, loud bars, quiet bars, bars that are set up for parties, etc, safe to say, bars in Mumbai have something for everyone.
While some are polished fine dining spots, others embrace the classic no-frills local bar experience. Majestic NX in Borivali’s LIC Colony somehow manages to sit comfortably between both worlds, and that is exactly what makes it interesting.
The streets around Majestic felt unusually clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. It honestly felt as if we had stumbled upon the premium version of Borivali. The calm surroundings immediately set the tone for a much more relaxed drinking experience than what we usually expect from a neighborhood bar.

Majestic NX offers two very distinct atmospheres depending on where you choose to sit. The air-conditioned section leans heavily into the fine dining experience, with a more polished setup suited for families, groups, and diners looking for a comfortable indoor meal.
We, however, chose the open non-AC section, and that ended up being the highlight of the visit. The space had the charm of a classic Mumbai local bar. It felt open, airy, and refreshingly relaxed without being noisy or chaotic. The crowd was chilled out, conversations stayed at a comfortable volume, and the entire setup encouraged you to slow down and enjoy the evening.

For drinks, we kept it simple and ordered McDowell's Rum along with a platter of food, which included Fried Papad, Burnt Garlic Chicken, and Veg Pakoda. The food delivered exactly what you would want from a casual bar snack lineup and paired well with the drinks.
What genuinely surprised us, though, was something much simpler. The unlimited refill popcorn and katori-style chips quickly became our favorite part of the table. It was the first time we had been served popcorn as a bar snack, and the constant refills kept us reaching for more between conversations and drinks.
From classic bar snacks, North Indian dishes, Chinese options, or something more substantial for dinner, the menu gives you plenty of choices. The place feels equally suitable for a quick drink after work or a longer evening centered around food. That flexibility adds to its appeal, especially for groups where everyone wants something different.

The final bill came to INR 804 for the rum, fried papad, burnt garlic chicken, and veg pakoda. If you want to know whether it was affordable or expensive, it fell somewhere in between. It is not cheap enough to be called a budget bar, but it is not expensive enough to feel overpriced either. The clean surroundings, relaxed atmosphere, and overall experience helped justify the spend, even if the affordability factor remains slightly debatable.
Majestic NX stands out because it offers two completely different experiences under one roof. You can choose between a polished fine dining atmosphere in the AC section or the laid-back charm of a classic Mumbai local bar in the open seating area.
The clean surroundings of Borivali's LIC Colony, the relaxed crowd, the extensive food menu, and the unexpected bonus of unlimited popcorn and chips all add to the experience. If you enjoy discovering bars with a bit more personality than the usual drinking spots, Majestic NX is worth checking out.
