This whisky is crafted from six-row barley grown at the foothills of the Himalayas. They are then double-distilled in copper pot stills and later matured in ex-bourbon casks for about five years. After this, for an additional three years, it is finished in cream sherry casks. To be specific, they are finished in a blend of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry.
Later, they are vatted together for a year, which is the final year of maturation. This unique process is the reason behind the deep amber hue of the whisky. It also has glimmers of crimson gold and brings in layers of festive flavors in the whisky.
The aroma of this limited edition whisky is inviting and indulgent. It offers fragrances of dark cherry, ripe plum, candied orange, and orange blossom honey. This is complemented by cocoa, soft toffee, and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The whisky is medium-bodied and smooth on the palate, offering a refined balance of stone fruits, roasted nuts, apple, caramel, and is also enhanced by notes of butterscotch, dark caramel, and spiced rum.
