If you are looking to actually go clubbing in Bengaluru rather than just sit at a bar with a drink, these seven places are worth knowing about. Kitty Ko at The LaLiT Ashok is still one of those names that comes up when Bengaluru nightlife gets serious. The open-air setting is a big part of its personality, especially when the weather behaves, and the club is known for house music, DJs, drag performances, and nights that have a much more expressive feel than your standard commercial nightclub. It can get loud and crowded, but that is also what people are coming here for.

XU is a different kind of club night. Hidden in the basement level of The Leela Palace, the venue has a proper dance floor and a more polished hotel-club setting, but once the music starts it feels much less like a hotel and much more like a nightclub. It is particularly suited to people who want a DJ-led night, louder music and a crowd that has actually come to dance.
The drinks are on the pricier side compared with casual Bengaluru pubs, which is hardly surprising given the location and setup. XU also hosts different kinds of music-led nights, so checking the weekend lineup before going is a good idea.

If you want your night to begin with a view before moving into full party mode, Skyye at UB City is an easy one to consider. The rooftop setting gives it a completely different feel from basement clubs like XU, and the place usually works well for groups who want drinks, music and a little bit of Bengaluru's skyline in the background.

Skyye is more lounge than underground club, so it suits an evening where you want to talk, eat and drink before the music takes over. It also has a dance floor and DJ-led nights, which means you don't necessarily have to move elsewhere once the night picks up.

The location helps too. Since it is right around the Brigade Road nightlife stretch, you can easily make it one stop in a longer night rather than treating it as the only destination.

No Limmits is for the kind of night where dancing, drinks and a bigger group matter more than a fancy cocktail menu. Located opposite Garuda Mall on Brigade Road, it has a proper club setup with DJs, a dance floor and a crowd that usually comes looking for a party rather than a quiet dinner.
The menu is fairly broad too, covering Indian, Chinese, Continental and fast food, which is useful when the group wants to eat along with the drinks. It is also relatively more approachable on the wallet compared with some of the five-star hotel nightlife spots.

The outdoor and poolside areas make it particularly nice earlier in the evening, when you can start with drinks before the music and crowd take over later.

For me, Bengaluru clubbing is better when you stop trying to find one place that does everything. If I wanted music and a proper dance floor, I would look at XU, Kitty Ko, or Sunburn Union depending on the lineup. For a slower start, Skyye or i-Bar makes more sense. And if the group is undecided, Brigade Road gives you enough options to change plans halfway through the night.
Bengaluru's clubbing scene is not limited to one neighbourhood or one kind of crowd. Kitty Ko brings open-air nightlife and drag, XU goes darker and more music-focused, while Skyye, Just BLR, No Limmits, i-Bar and Sunburn Union offer their own versions of a night out.
