Grande Couronne 26 years old is Glenfiddich’s new release

The Glenfiddich Grand Series sees a new luxury variant join its midst with the Grand Couronne 26 years old.

The Scottish whisky maker has created this blend from whiskies from both Scotland and France. The mixture was aged in European and American oak casks at their distillery in Dufftown. The expression was then finished off in French Cognac casks for a duration of 2 years. This makes it the first single malt from Glenfiddich that was aged in both European and American oak casks and the duration of its finish – 2 years – lends a unique sweet toasted oak layer to the whisky along with delicious aromas of brown sugar, soft spice and cafe creme.

The luxurious bottle of the Grand Couronne is adorned with gold filigree and the inside packaging has Renaissance-style artwork on it.

The single malt was made available on March 24 and is bottled at 43.8% ABV.
