Cheers Breweries Limited in Mysuru boasts an annual output of 1.5 million hectolitres. It will serve as a critical hub for MEBL’s brewing operations in southern India.

An Ambition To Achieve

MEBL has an ambition to achieve an 8% national beer market share by 2030 and operate in 20 states by FY26. Aligning with this ambition, the company has also positioned the Mysuru plant as a catalyst for growth in adjacent southern markets.

The expanded brewery network aims to supply beer not only across Karnataka but also to Puducherry, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala. This is to reduce reliance on MEBL’s historical logistics routes from its central and northern Indian plants.

The anticipated incremental revenue from this Karnataka expansion is estimated to be ₹350–400 crore by FY28. It will support a projected topline growth of 15–18% over the next several years.

The Market rollout is being executed in two planned phases in Karnataka. The initial launch will have 45 of Karnataka’s 71 state depots. The remaining 26 depots will be included in the second phase, all culminating by November 2025.
