A new premium whisky has entered the Indian whisky market. Launched by the Uppal Brewers and Distillers (UBD), Madhvan Distiller’s Tribute blend is here just in time to kick off the festive season in India. This launch marks yet another addition to the premium whisky portfolio of UBD. UBD is the premium spirits venture of The Uppal Group. From its ABV details to bottle sizes, here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this newly launched premium whisky in India.
According to a press release that was shared recently, the product will initially be launched in Delhi. As of now, there are plans to expand to other Indian states like Haryana, Odisha, Karnataka, Daman and Diu, and Goa.

The whisky has an ABV of 42.8 percent, and a 750 ml bottle of it will be priced at INR 1,240. The whisky is geared towards the younger generation, especially those who are more inclined to savor a success rather than simply displaying it.
The name of the whisky, too, is thoughtful. It is a portmanteau of Madhu and Van. Madhu means sweet and Van means forest. Together, the words symbolize India’s constant pursuit of excellence.

Uppal Brewers and Distillers have been a part of the Uppal Group’s legacy for more than 47 years at this point. The launch of this spirit comes at a time when India’s premium spirits consumption is on the rise.
Between 2019 and 2025, overall spirits consumption grew by three percent CAGR in India.
