Ever fancied getting tipsy in a dream painted by Salvador Dalí? Step into Dali & Gala, Bengaluru’s newest bar that also resembles an art museum. Located on Museum Road, cocktails here are not just drinks – they are true masterpieces in a glass. Inspired by the eccentric brilliance of Salvador Dali and his muse Gala, the bar blurs the line between real and surreal, one sip at a time!
Dali & Gala is the brainchild of Vipin Raman, Siddharth Kerkar, and Jatin and Jayesh Hukkeri. Kerkar, who’s a Goa-based artist and co-founder of Museum of Goa, has additionally curated the many eccentric and sometimes downright unusual works you’ll see carefully embedded across the bar’s walls and ceiling.
While the decor does take inspiration from Dali’s work, it also uses its artistic liberty to display works that are sensual, absurd, or just eccentric for the layman to comprehend at first glance. The interiors are a bold mix of sensual and quirky motifs that evoke a sense of surrealism – every corner of the bar feels like you’ve stepped into a surreal masterpiece of Dali. The use of bold, bright colors paired with ambient lighting elevates the space to a whole new level.

And did we mention that the bar space has not one, not two, but five rooms inspired by the works of Dali! With rooms like the Smoke Room, Dali’s Library, and the Mirror Room among others, the space promises to be a revelation in every nook and corner.

With its tavern-like structure, the 69-seater bar feels like you’ve stepped right into the times when Dali used to create masterpieces inspired by his muse Gala. While we can discuss the ambiance and decor extensively, the bar menu also stands out prominently. It is quite common for new-age bars to be all style and no substance, especially when the focus is more on the looks and feel of the bar than the food and drinks. However, that’s certainly not the case with Dali & Gala!
The bar, called Eye-bar, is a striking attraction inside Dali & Gala. With over 50 hand-beaten “eyes” made from more than 200 kg of copper, the art installation that serves as the backdrop of the bar instantly sets the mood. Open the menu and you’ll be surprised to find tequila stealing the show. With more than 15 different offerings in tequila itself, it’s clear that this agave spirit is having its moment at Dali & Gala.

However, that doesn’t mean that other spirits have been shown the door – they’re very much available on the menu. Be it delightful gin, vodka, and campari, or whisky, beer, and even rum, there’s something for everyone!
Besides these spirits, the bar menu also takes it up a notch when it comes to crafting specialty cocktails. With expressions of surrealism, adultery, and spicy romance, each drink feels like a suggestive nod to your taste buds – and we bet you can’t resist the temptation!
